About
I am a teacher of rhetoric, media studies, intercultural and environmental communication. I have conducted research on media representations of black athletes and social protest, the rhetoric of women leaders, and animal-human communication, among other topics.
I am also involved in activism, including labor organizing, immigrant rights, anti-racism, gender and sexual diversity training, death penalty and prison abolition, and environmental sustainability.
